I noticed vibration at 65mph when I first bought the bike, but I guess I've just grown used to it. On cool mornings my Savage likes to run at 70mph, above the vibration speed. Most on the time she is happy at 65mph. This is really my only complaint about the bike. It's true that she won't hold her own in the fast lane. The only solution is to stay out of that lane and accept her limitations. She is fine on the highway just realize that you won't be ahead of the pack.
